Loving
boy Rahul Gandhi will be leading the Congress party from the front in the
upcoming general election. No surprise at all as it was very much expected. But
the second clause came from the party-chief who is none other than Rahulji’s
own pyaari mam (loving mother) who said that this time also Rahul Gandhi will
not be the prime minister candidate of the party.
What
would have made Sonia Gandhi think like that? Is it because she does not have
faith in the party to triumph for a third consecutive time? Is it because she
wants Manmohan Singh to rule the country again or does she feel Rahul Gandhi
not to be mature enough to take up the responsibilities of PM which once his
father Rajiv Gandhi did in a quite admiring manner? We cannot write off any of
these chances.
In
the first case, ever since the declaration of Narendra Modi as the Prime
Minister candidate of BJP, Congress party fears a fail. Yet, they do not
recognize or are not ready to change according to it. If the Congress party
fails in the upcoming general elections, it is not because of the Modi’s charisma
and leadership quality that they fail but because of their in-socialistic rule
that made it tough for the general public to live in the country.
Second
possibility was that Sonia Gandhi prefers Manmohan Singh to Rahul Gandhi. It
might be well not because he is a better leader but because he is a better puppet.
Soniaji might be scared of the fact that she may not be respected and obeyed by
Rahul Gandhi. Our chocolate boy may not be like a puppet in the hands of his
loving mother but may have his own likes and dislikes in everything.
He
will not be a puppet in the hands of his mother for sure. This is what we hear
about Manmohan Singh who gloriously ruled the country for a decade. Was it not
his obedience that he did all what the party heads said to him to do? Though this
is what his opponents say about him, a good percentage of the people in India
still do not believe that he was a mere puppet in the hands of the party heads.
A
mother better knows what her sons are and what her sons are capable of. She
knows what they can do as well. It might be a well thought plan of Soniaji that
she decided not to nominate her son to be the PM candidate. When there is less
chance for the party to retain its rule, why should she do so? Let’s hope that
he will get a better chance in the coming years as he is still young.
